I knew we wanted to work with Justine and her team when she told me “I’m not a crunchy doula”. She and her team are evidence based, extremely knowledgeable responsive. Ale was the doula who worked with us throughout my labor. My baby was sunny side up and I had back labor. Ale put me into all kinds of positions (I describe it to friends as “birth yoga”) to help turn her around. With Ale’s help I was able to wait as long as possible to get the epidural, and have a smooth vaginal delivery. I went into labor with a lot of fear, and Ale was very comforting and her knowledge put me at ease. Despite questioning why anyone would ever do this more than once during active labor, I look back on my birth experience with a lot of fondness, and I attribute 100% of that to Ale. I tell every pregnant woman I know that they need to work with a doula and I direct them to Justine and her team.
