This was my second birth with Rachel, and I truly couldn’t have done it without her. From pregnancy through labor, she was everything I could have asked for in a doula and more. She supported me so well during pregnancy—offering breathing techniques, Spinning Babies exercises, and always checking in to make sure I felt informed, confident, and heard. She has such a warm, maternal presence and brings a wealth of knowledge that made me feel so at ease every step of the way.
What really stands out about Rachel is how deeply she respects and supports your choices. She never pushed her own preferences—she simply empowered me to make the decisions that felt right for me and my family. That kind of advocacy is rare, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was fully in my corner.
When labor began, Rachel helped me stay grounded at home, and thanks to her support, I arrived at the hospital already 7 cm dilated and delivered less than two hours later. She was incredibly hands-on during labor—holding my leg, giving counter pressure, encouraging me through every contraction, and somehow still managing to capture beautiful photos as I’d asked.
She even remembered how much using a mirror helped me push in my previous birth and gently advocated to get one in place again—something that made all the difference. That kind of personal care, based on truly knowing me, meant the world.
Rachel supported my husband beautifully too, making sure he felt included and reassured. Her presence was steady, calming, and exactly what we needed during such an intense experience.
