I would summarize my experience of working with Albina as, "worth every penny and then some...". She is a wonderful duola and I fully credit my successful VBAC to our partnership. Albina helped me to mentally and spiritually prepare for labor beforehand and has been been a great resource afterward. However what I'm most grateful for was her help during the actual labor process. She was there with me basically the entire time. She helped me get through 13 hours of unmedicated labor by applying counter pressure, helping with breathing, and helping change positions. She ensured the medical staff knew all my birthing preferences and she kept them accountable. Her presence was calm and supportive and in scary moments (like when baby's heart rate would drop or when she got stuck during the pushing process) Albina calmly encouraged various alternatives that helped me avoid another c-section. Looking back on my labor, all I feel is gratitude and I'm actually excited to about the prospect of having more children. If you're thinking of hiring Albina - just do it! I promise you'll thank me afterwards.)
