Jasmine was absolutely essential to my birth preparation as well as my seriously amazing labor and delivery. She was my doula for my first pregnancy and birth. As such, she helped guide my partner and I through the logistical, emotional, and physical processes of the entire thing. Her calm, confident energy made us feel so secure throughout the process, especially the birth. Jasmine took time to get to know us so that she could speak to our needs during the birthing process. My partner and I are very different, and she was able to communicate flawlessly with both of us in our own ways, and was able to direct and suggest when needed, but also to trust in our/my abilities and let us do our thing. She was extremely conscientious of the specific way I wanted to be talked to and supported/encouraged during my birth, and she followed it so perfectly! I wanted to be pushed, and I knew that I needed fierce and confident support, and she was able to provide it in the most empowering way. I was able to labor for only 13 hours and birth my baby at a birthing center without medical intervention, and I 100% credit Jasmine's position suggestions, food/fuel suggestions, and words of wisdom for the smooth birth. Postpartum, Jasmine was the most soothing and strong advocate. She was such a relieving, warm presence on her postpartum visit, which gave me a chance to take a breath amongst all the family and new experiences I was having and problems I was trying to solve. She made me a nourishing and seriously delicious drink and made me feel so much better, mentally and physically.
When it comes to the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process, Jasmine is a fierce advocate, a steadfast support person, a strong leader, a trusted confidante, a perceptive observer, and truly the best doula I could ever have asked for. When we go for baby number 2, I hope she would join the birthing team again for us! With absolute confidence I recommend Jasmine.
