Julie has been a treasure to work with. As a solo, queer parent I was searching for postpartum support from someone community oriented, nonjudgemental, trustworthy and warm. As well as a person familiar with other approaches to postpartum support, beyond the western medical framework. Julie inhabits all these qualities, but goes well beyond them. They were up for support in any way I needed it -- dishes, laundry, talking and processing, prepping food, caring for the baby, massage. They showed an incredible amount of sensitivity and were encouraging through all the transitions I was going through and were wonderful at making suggestions to assist my recovery. I always felt seen, cared for and supported by them, and at ease leaving my baby in their care. My only regret is that I didn't have them as my birth doula!
