Surri was a huge help in making my birthing experience as calm as it could be! She offered support prior to birth teaching us tips and tricks prior to baby's arrival. When we found out that our baby was breech and we needed to have a c-section Surri was there to support us. Instead of labor coping strategies she helped explain the c-section procedure and help talk through my anxieties. My baby decided to come early and once again, Surri was there. She made it to the OR for the c-section at almost midnight and was extremely helpful in talking to me and my husband as our baby came into this world. After we were moved to a recovery room, Surri was there to aide us through golden hour and our first feeding session, helping both mom and baby learn how to get a good latch and kick off a great breastfeeding relationship. Surri checked in on us multiple times after birth and specifically made sure to check on me (mom) at times when most everyone else is focused on baby, which was extremely helpful and appreciated. Surri's calm nature and great knowledge was extremely helpful to me as an anxious first time mom!
