When it came time for labor, the support we received made all the difference. Ale, our doula, was absolutely amazing. Her calming presence helped us feel grounded and in control during an intense and emotional experience. Thanks to her, we felt truly empowered at our birth. Ale’s knowledge of laboring positions was especially helpful in managing pain and progressing labor naturally. I can honestly say I wouldn’t have been able to achieve my goal of an unmedicated birth without her by my side.
Having Ale there also allowed my husband and me to stay fully present with each other throughout the entire experience, which meant so much to both of us. Afterward, even he said, “We are never giving birth without a doula”—a true testament to the value Midwest Doulas brings.
Ale even went above and beyond postpartum by coming to our home to help with lactation and to check on us. It didn’t feel rushed or pressured and really stood out to us.
