Being non-natives here, navigating the medical system was not easy. Melissa guided us through doctor and nurse interactions, helping us ask the right questions. At 33 weeks, when we discovered our baby was breech, Melissa helped me with Spinning Babies exercises a day before a scheduled ECV. Thankfully, the baby turned naturally without needing the procedure.
When labor started at 2 AM, Melissa drove immediately to the hospital and stayed with us from 2:45 AM. While my husband rested during early labor, Melissa stayed awake, constantly helping me with exercises, massages, and encouragement. As contractions peaked, her moral support made a huge difference.
Though I had to undergo a C-section, Melissa stayed with us in the OR, offering emotional support to me and my husband. After the birth, she helped me latch the baby properly and gave practical tips that made breastfeeding easier.
After we returned home, she visited twice and helped us set up our bedroom so nighttime feeding was easier.
Throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum, Melissa was fully there for us emotionally and physically. Her knowledge, kindness, and steady support meant a lot.
