Lucy was able to guide us throughout pregnancy without any agenda or judgement. We ended up having a complicated and unexpected labor and Lucy was there every step of the way. Just having her in the room was calming and empowering all at the same time. She helped with different pain management techniques, positioning in labor, and supported both my husband and I both physically and emotionally. She somehow always knew exactly what we needed.
She helped us with resources before and after birth so that we could be set up for success. Her support extended from the weeks and days leading up to labor, into weeks following as well. We even looked forward to seeing her at our postpartum visit. (Which I think speaks to how comfortable she makes you feel.) It was like having a family member come over.
