We truly cannot imagine our birth experience without Rebecca. From the very beginning, she brought such a calm and grounding presence. Before labor, she met with us multiple times to prepare us for what to expect and taught us Spinning Babies techniques that helped us feel more confident.
I went into labor in the evening, and Rebecca stayed in close communication throughout the night, checking in regularly to see how I was doing and when she should come. When she arrived the next day, everything shifted. Her presence was a total game-changer. She brought a device that helped ease my back pain, and her hands-on adjustments relieved so much of my discomfort. She also helped us make the call on when to leave for the hospital, and once there, she was essential. Her steadiness and support helped me in my shakiest moments, and she guided us through decision-making when we needed to make a change in our plan.
Once we were settled into our hospital room, Rebecca set the most peaceful tone, dimming the lights and placing little LED candles around the space. The nurses and midwives kept joking they wanted to stay in our room because it was so calm and lovely.
We were initially hesitant about hiring a doula, but after working with Rebecca, we truly can’t imagine doing it any other way. Without her, it would have been just my husband and me for long stretches, but having someone with her expertise and guidance in the room made such a difference. She even ran out to get us snacks in the morning - just one of the many ways she went above and beyond!
Rebecca continued to support us even after the birth with a home visit, as well as thoughtful texts and reassurance about what to expect postpartum. Her care made us feel so held through the entire journey. We’re endlessly grateful to her and recommend her wholeheartedly!
