Testimonial for Schyler Mason
Schyler was an amazing doula. She not only helped me in terms of housework, caring for baby, etc but did SO MUCH MORE. She met me in a crazy time after having had my first child, while still having to help run by businness, and having moved into a new home (as a first time homeowner) with the move happening just a week after giving birth! She provided so much guidance and modeled so much in how to care for a newborn. Knowing I had her expertise saved me a lot of time as I didn't have to research online and likely saved my sanity as it kept me off of facebook parent groups. She also helped me with my healing journey including finding a pelvic floor PT to come to my home when my hips were acting up postpartum. She gently nudged me when necessary (like by starting the process unpacking by boxes of clothes when I had been afraid to and procrastinating it so that I ripped off the bandaid and did what I was putting off). Her experience comes through in caring for both baby and parents. The only negative thing I have to say is that she only does doula work because I wanted to keep her as a nanny after the first several months because she was my emotional safety blanket! So basically the only con is that you can't keep her forever! That being said we continue to stay in touch and she has continued to send me her magic infant schedules and answered any random questions that have come up even though she has moved onto other families. It truly comes through that she cares! I truly can't recommend her enough!
