Colleen was exactly what we needed! She was a great resource for questions before the birth and even just someone to talk to when I was worried about things (like impending snowstorms). She had experience and useful knowledge of all the local hospitals and was clearly at home in the one we chose (HDH). I can't say enough about what a relief it is to have someone there advocating just for you who is also very experienced in childbirth. Her heating pad and breathing helped with contraction pain. She had my hypno babies tracks ready. I'm not thinking of everything but in general I felt perfectly taken care of. As a bonus, Colleen took photos we will cherish forever.
