There simply aren’t enough words to describe how I feel about Hannah. She was more helpful than I could have ever imagined. From our initial phone call I just knew her and I would hit it off, we had so much in common. I knew immediately I wanted her as my doula for my sovereign birth. During monthly phone calls I was able to vent about any worries or anxieties I had, and she’d talk through them with me. And towards the end of my pregnancy when I was going “late”, she’d check in everyday to see where my head space was. It was so helpful being able to talk through my worries with her, I’d always leave the conversation feeling lighter and less stressed. My baby came quickly, Hannah walked into our house after the babies head was already out, but was here for the rest! Honestly it worked out perfectly because I did have a vision of birthing alone, and in a way I got that wish. But her being here for my postpartum was even more helpful to be honest. She helped me out of the pool, talked me through birthing my placenta, cooked me and my husband food, drained the tub, cleaned up, started laundry…. We were able to wake up from a nap and just get into normal life without worrying about a mess. Even a week postpartum she still checks in daily. Hannah has been incredible and I’d recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula.
