Rachael was absolutely the perfect fit for us. She is kind, knowledgeable, dynamic and comes into her practice with her mind open to what you want out of your birthing experience. And when what we wanted wasn’t in the cards, she helped us navigate the medical and emotional paths that ultimately resulted in a very positive experience, all things considered.
She has also been a rock for transitioning from the hospital to actually being parents at home, namely with breastfeeding. I was having a hard time with latching and Rachael brought her calm, knowledgeable approach to our home visits and I’m happy to say that our little guy is breastfeeding like a champ now.
We’re very happy we went with Rachael and are grateful that she was our doula. Will definitely seek her out again if we’re crazy enough to do this a second time!
