We are so thankful to have had Elyse with us as part of the birth of our son. I am convinced that without her guidance, expertise, and support, my childbirth experience wouldn't have gone nearly as well as it did.
In the time leading up to my son's due date, Elyse provided valuable education and advice, which eased my fears and helped me envision what I hoped for in the ideal situation. When my doctor recommended an induction, Elyse listened to my concerns without judgement and provided additional information to help us make our decision. When the induction went very slowly and was headed toward an unplanned (and unwanted) C-section on day 4, Elyse worked with my partner to move me into various positions, which finally got my labor moving forward. After a slow labor and a quick birth, Elyse stayed to help me begin my recovery and to provide breastfeeding guidance.
We look forward to working with Elyse again eventually for baby #2, and will recommend her to all the expecting families we know!
