I'm so glad we had Sam to support us through labor and delivery.
She was always available and very communicative from the beginning. She visited us at home multiple times before the birth and also came to our house after the birth. She always made us feel like we could reach out to her anytime with any questions or concerns we had, no matter how small they were. She helped us prepare not only for the birth experience but was also a lifesaver for helping understand and be successful with breastfeeding and pumping. I'm not sure I would have been able to handle breastfeeding without her help and advice.
She was also a huge support to me and my husband during labor, which unfortunately happened on Christmas Eve. She left her family to come spend the holiday with us in the hospital. She helped us understand what was happening, make decisions, and helped me get into more comfortable positions while I rested and when it was time to push. The labor experience was so much smoother than I expected it to be, and I believe that's in large part because I fully understood what was happening and I was able to make informed decisions with Sam's help. Everything went fast, I had only minimal tearing, and I recovered very quickly. I feel so grateful that I had such a positive birth experience.
I would highly recommend Sam to anyone considering working with her. I don't know what I would have done without her help.
