We were blessed to have Chelsey as our doula and it was such a positive experience – I highly recommend her to anyone looking for added support during their pregnancy and birth journey! Not only is she well educated, passionate and detailed, but she went well above and beyond what we could have imagined for our baby’s birth and support of momma along the way.
I had a challenging labor that lasted over 36 hours, and Chelsey was right there the entire time, supporting us through every contraction. She took the time to arrange our room and create a calm, relaxing and welcoming environment – to include small tea lights, candles (yes, battery-powered!) and even a diffuser that we had discussed early on.
I had incredible back labor towards the end, and she was immediately there to massage my back and hips and help me through those painful moments. She was considerate of our desired birth plan and was our powerful advocate during out entire hospital stay and worked alongside the medical staff like she was part of the larger team. The staff was so impressed by her that they asked for her information to send out referrals for future patients!
We took Chelsey’s birth class and not only gained a plethora of information, but we were able to get to know her and ask as many questions as needed. She offered a vast number of real-life examples to help us think through those “what-if” situations. The amount of information you are exposed to during the birth class is priceless, and we still refer to our notes postpartum.
We cannot say enough about how happy we are with Chelsey’s level of expertise and how she supported us through pregnancy and birth. If you are considering a doula, Chelsey is the real deal, you will not be disappointed!
