Great experience. Liza is practical, punctual, deeply empathetic and knowledgeable for both birthing and non birthing partners.
During our kick off meetings Liza helped us think through details we hadn't considered during the birthing process and taught us skills / gave us resources to prepare for the birth. The information presented was consistent with many of the birthing classes that we took, but it was more personalized to our needs which we appreciated.
Liza really saved the day for us during birth as we were both exhausted from prolonged early labor. Liza arrived as soon as we asked her to and got us in the right mind set for the actual birth. Without Liza we would have teetered towards a traumatic birth but instead everything got back on track despite our exhaustion!
We also chose to have Liza help us out after the birthing process as a post partum doula. Liza has greatly eased our transition to parenthood by giving both my partner and I much needed rest and teaching us practical parenting skills that we didn't even know we'd need. As a new parent you feel completely lost leaving the hospital with your new baby. Liza helped us navigate the ambiguity and we've come out the other side with a beautiful healthy baby girl!
I'd absolutely recommend Liza's service for any first time parents. We'll be using her services again when the next one is ready!
