I initially wasn't going to get a doula, I figured since this was my second baby I could do it without one. However, my midwife strongly encouraged me to get one since my goal was for an unmediated hospital birth. THANK GOODNESS she encouraged me to hire one and that she recommended Kerry to me. Kerry is someone that I instantly felt comfortable and confident with given her attitude, professionalism, and knowledge. She was fully supportive of my goals and made sure my questions/concerns were addressed. When it was finally time to deliver she was there & ready and knew exactly what to do and when. She gave support to my husband and worked well with the hospital staff at Inova. She communicated to me what was going on and what was needed of me to deliver my baby the way I wanted.
