I had a wonderful natural birth experience with Adelaine. I hired her for birth support with my first child and can not recommend her enough. Adelaine and I initially met up for coffee to get to know one another and so I could hear more about her experience and support style. Immediately we connected and I felt warmth and comfort from her from the moment we met. After we hired her, we spoke here and there throughout my pregnancy and finally sat down for a thorough meeting between Adelaine, my husband, and I, to discuss our birth desires, plans, and review many possible scenarios and preferences. Because it was my first pregnancy and I was hoping for a no-intervention hospital birth, I relied heavily on the guidance she provided, and all was presented in a clear, objective way. She takes her job seriously as being a support partner, an extension of YOUR voice, and will respectfully wait for you to request or invite her thoughts with regard to any information or decisions. She is excellent at remaining a neutral third party, and was incredibly calm throughout my entire labor and delivery. This was something I really hoped for in my doula and she delivered in spades. With regard to pricing, Adelaine charges a flat rate and she will be there for your questions and concerns throughout your journay as needed, as well as showing up for you for the birth experience. No pricing tiers for levels of engagement--you sign on with her and she will be there for you fully. It was well worth the investment to have her expertise and calming energy in our corner for this special, unforgettable experience.
