There are not enough words to describe how invaluable Sarah is. As first time parents, she helped us prepare for our birth in ways we didn't even think about. She was an amazing advocate for us and is so knowledgeable and focused when she needs to be. Because of her, I was able to achieve the unmedicated birth I had hoped for! She was right there getting me through every contraction and doing so many things behind the scenes that I didn't know I needed. She was also the best coach for my husband on how to help me.
For our second, and much faster, birth, Sarah was extremely responsive despite not even being on call for us yet due to me being 36 weeks.
As a postpartum doula, Sarah steps in as the family member who knows exactly what you need without you having to say it. Shes a listening ear, a wealth of knowledge, a babywearing expert, and she has an eye for things that need to get done. I can't even explain the giant weight that would lift off of my shoulders when Sarah would arrive. She was pushy in the best way (like getting me to nap or take a shower). There is almost no one else I would trust with my babies.
I'm not sure if Sarah ever wanted a 30 year old daughter but she definitely has one now. She has truly become like family to us and we can't even begin to explain how much she has meant to us.
