My experience with Kim was AMAZING !!! I had been in the hospital with a different doula for 3 days, although I'd been induced my labor wasn't progressing and I hadn't dilated much. One night when my doula had to leave, Kim came in as a back up, I immediately loved her calming energy and we hit it off instantly. She got me out of bed and used different techniques to help open up my cervix, when the doctors checked me again I had dilated an extra cm, it had only been a few hours, I was flabbergasted. I couldn't help but think about how different my labor would be going if she'd been my doula from the jump. After this I knew I wanted her by my side, she became my doula and she went above and beyond. She advocated for me when I felt a little pressured by medical staff to go against my birthing plan and she held my hand and rubbed my back when I was in pain. There really isn't enough room here to capture how great she was and I feel extremely blessed to have been paired with her. All expecting moms deserve a Kim on their journey.
