Hiring Christa as our doula was the best decision we could have made when it came to starting our family. Christa is knowledgeable, genuine, and encouraging. It is abundantly clear that she was born to help mothers, like me, usher our babies into this world with her calming presence. Originally, we considered not hiring a doula to “save money”. That would have been a terrible mistake. Leading up to labor, Christa answered all of my many first-time-mom questions with grace and helpful information. With her experience, she helped us labor at home and know when to leave for the birth center. When labor began, she encouraged and empowered me through my entire 20 hour unmedicated labor. She provided both physical and emotional support during labor, and she empowered my husband to be hands on and do the same. It’s safe to say I wouldn’t have had the birth of my dreams without Christa’s help, and I am so grateful she was the one to help us as we started our little family.
