I could not have better things to say about my experience working with Tia. I am a 44 year old single mom by choice and gave birth in August of 2024. I found Tia through a doula matching service and knew right away that she was the one for me. Tia was emotionally supportive and understanding, extremely knowledgeable, and her communication leading up to my birth was exactly what I needed. We had 4 formal sessions where she had planned content and lessons for me that helped educate me and prepare me for my 3rd trimester, birth and postpartum. I learned so much during those sessions and felt comfortable asking questions. She educated me on things that many of my close friends never knew during their pregnancy journeys and I felt so informed and thus empowered to make the right decision for me. She was available for support outside of those sessions as well which was so reassuring. I found myself calling and texting whenever I had a question and I always heard back right away.
I went into my birth in hopes to have an unmedicated labor but changed my mind a few hours in. Tia never passed any judgement which was something I was worried about when working with a Doula. I know in my heart that Tia wanted what was best for me, nothing more. She has no agenda outside of that. She was cool, calm and collected during my vaginal birth and knew the team and the ins and outs of Mt Sinai West where I delievered. I got pretty nervous and anxious as my labor progressed at home and the minute she arrived I felt so much more relaxed. Despite having a super supportive family and group of friends, I could not have done this without her. We have stayed conncted in the 6 months after my labor and she even came to visit me at the beach to see my son when he was a few months old. So happy to have her in our lives and could not recommend her more!
