I had pretty much given up on ever getting pregnant after trying for 2.5 years, and when I finally got pregnant, I knew I was scared of the entire birthing process. I wanted to prepare for the big day as much as possible, but in the end, I wasn't prepared for all of the interventions and changes that I would need. I had dreams of having a water birth at the midwifery birth center, and I didn't prepare for health reasons to put me on the induction list at the hospital. With the help of Sarah and her mentee, Morgan, I was able to navigate through all the hoops that an induction can bring. Sarah was absolutely a game changer and helped me feel less scared after having everything that I didn't want to have happen, happen. She still made it a point to keep my birth room positive and peaceful. Having someone experienced in labor and that process was amazing and a game changer for me. I seriously couldn't have made it through my natural unmedicated induction without her.
