I've been lucky enough to have Kimberly by my side during two unmedicated hospital births (for our second and third babies). After we found out we were pregnant with our third, Kimberly was actually the first person we told since I could not imagine going through the birth process without her! Kimberly has been an amazing source of support, knowledge, calm, and friendship during two very different birth experiences. When I went into early labor with our second son, Kimberly was right by my side, not only helping me stay calm but also serving as a translator of medical information, memory keeper of conversations with the team, and conveyer of messages between myself, the team, and my family. During labor, during delivery, and post delivery, she advocated for me tirelessly. Kimberly was an integral part of both my sons' birth stories and I'm grateful every day.
