It’s common to hear that you can’t prepare for everything childbirth will bring and I can testify from experience the one thing you can prepare for is having the essential support to guide you through the uncertainties and fear - and that essential support is having Rosa as your Doula. She was the most resourceful tool I had in my toolbox and I can’t imagine what labour would have looked like if she wasn’t there to support my partner and I through it all.
I really appreciated how she thoroughly explained procedures, protocols and different scenarios while I was labouring in a way that my partner and I could actually understand. Not only did she advocate on our behalf, she made us both feel so supported in any decision we wanted to pursue without any bias or judgement. She also assisted in providing physical relief, making everything feel less intense, from many of the techniques and practices she knows. I’m most grateful for Rosa helping me mentally unearth my inner confidence and strength when I needed to utilize it the most.
Rosa pours her all into her work supporting parents through the exciting journey of parenthood and our only regret is not reaching out sooner in my pregnancy. I joke she will be the one of the first people I tell if and when I find out I’m expecting again!
