When I found out I was pregnant, the first person I texted (after telling my husband) was Austin! I knew I wanted a more traditional hospital birth, and wasn't sure if I "needed" a doula. After going through labor & delivery with Austin by my side, I cannot imagine not having her there. I labored at home for around 24 hours before I could get admitted to the hospital, and Austin helped me cope, she helped my husband support me, she took the most amazing photos, and she helped us know when to finally go to the hospital. We would have been LOST without her - and we probably would have gone to the hospital multiple times before they let me stay haha. She helped me get educated on birth & make my own decisions. She answered every little question I had. At the hospital, she helped me through different positions to get baby in a good position & different pushing positions (that I didn't even know you could do with an epidural!) I really could not imagine giving birth without her. My husband and I are so grateful for Austin!
