Testimonial for Eli Seibel, CD(PALS)

Eli's last shift as our doula was this week and I can say our entire family is very sad to see her go. Eli has been with our family 3 evenings a week for 6 weeks and became part of our family during that time. At the beginning of her shift, Eli took care of our newborn so I could take a nap and shower. When our toddler got home from daycare, Eli helped us get dinner on the table so we could give him some 1:1 attention and did the dishes so we could read him a bedtime story. Eli also helped educate me on aspects of parenting I had either never learned with my first (like baby wearing with a wrap) or had forgotten how to do (like bathing) and served as a sounding board to let me know if something was normal or if I should reach out to our pediatrician or a lactation consultant. Eli always looked around the house for things she could help with like laundry and dishes and I once woke up from my nap to find she had tidied my toddler's mess of toys! When Eli was at our house I always felt like my needs were prioritized which was a nice break from always worrying about others. Eli would surprise me with healing tea, chia pudding, or cupcakes. I miss Eli's positive and calm demeanor and would 100% have her back if we have a third!
