After learning I was pregnant with my 2nd child (only 9 months after a 50-hour labor that ended in a C-section), I was determined to have a different experience with this pregnancy, labor and delivery. Elizabeth was recommended to me by my provider and it was truly divine intervention that she was introduced to us. Elizabeth is a phenomenal doula with a world-class bedside manner. She is compassionate, fierce, nurturing, and intelligent - and she uses all these qualities perfectly based on what a situation calls for. She bought into my goals for my delivery and I bought into her educational program from day 1 and we really committed to our journey together. The results speak for themselves. Elizabeth coached me and my husband through a 4-hour, joyful and calm labor, ending in an unmedicated VBAC. The euphoria and redemption I felt after my child was born cannot be overstated and that accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without Elizabeth at my side. Her encouragement, education, and strength made my dream come true and she was truly a partner in the process. She answered every single one of my questions, however silly, with data and research. She pushed me to confront and accept the uncertainties of childbirth but trust my mind and body to guide me through. But most importantly, she believed in me and made me believe in myself and my baby. I will be forever grateful that Elizabeth taught us how magnificent and serene childbirth can be.
