Kayla is easy to talk to, professional, and very knowledgeable. She has extensive experience, having worked as a nanny since she was 13, and comes from a family of doulas. She provided us with valuable information as first-time parents, covering postpartum recovery, breastfeeding techniques, bottle feeding, pumping, baby care, and even the emotional aspects of new parenthood.
She visited twice a week from 10 PM to 6 AM, taking care of our baby throughout the night. She was flexible and accommodating, adjusting to our changing routines, whether that was breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or experimenting with different diaper-changing timings. If I was breastfeeding, she would wake me when needed, and when we used bottles, she covered the full night. She also took the initiative to do quiet household tasks like laundry, which was very helpful.
Each night, Kayla kept detailed notes on feeding times, diaper changes, and the baby’s overall behavior, ensuring we had a clear record of our baby's patterns. She also followed up with a morning message, answering any questions we had and often sharing additional resources, such as useful baby care tools.
Kayla’s support made a significant difference in our first few months as parents. Beyond just providing care, she helped us build knowledge and confidence in handling our newborn. We would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and supportive doula.
