We highly recommend Rheja! She has a beautiful heart, is very knowledgeable, and has a true gift in nuturing. Though our time with Rheja was short; I'm so glad that I got connected with her just weeks prior to my due date. My only regret is not hiring her earlier.
It was confirmed to me just weeks prior to my due date that I had to have an unmedicated delivery. I knew I would need support, and Rheja was an answer to prayer. During our initial Zoom call, she gave me great advice that gave me peace leading up to delivery as I was feeling anxious. On the delivery day, she took the initiative to show up at the hospital on her own as she knew parking would get worse after 6AM, which I appreciated. She took over the room with such grace and confidence. Immediately asked how I was doing and offered to get me food/water and hooked me up to a TENS machine, which finally allowed me to get some sleep. She wasn't afraid to ask the nurses for the best equipment that would make my labouring experience more comfortable, which I didn't even know I had access to! All throughout my unique delivery, she was such a great support to both my husband and I. She reassured me throughout - a voice that grounded me while I contracted. She even offered her own body for me to brace on during a contraction when there was nothing else for me to hold onto. I didn't have the time to ask her to take pictures as everything moved so quickly but she surprised me with my phone full of precious memories that we'll have and cherish forever.
Doulas are truly a gift, and we are so glad that we had such a great experience with Rheja. Still brings me to tears that I was able to birth my beautiful baby boy the way I did. Thank you for everything Rheja!
