I had pondered the idea of using a postpartum doula for quite awhile during my pregnancy. Then I suddenly went into preterm labor and our time with our little one started earlier than expected. My husband and I tried to manage on our own (and google) but we found our son to really struggle with his feedings. We looked into Doula's and Riannon was HIGHLY recommended. We finally pulled the trigger and I only wish we would have done it sooner! I was nervous to have someone else take care of my baby and right from the start she had a calming presence to her. She was very kind and I could tell genuinely loved and cared for babies. We spoke about our struggles and she gave us some suggestions/observations to mention to our pediatrician. Because of this, our son was diagnosed with a significant tongue tie, torticollis, and flat head syndrome. All things manageable, but he is now getting the treatment he needs for it and his quality of life seems to have improved literally overnight, thanks to Riannon.
