I truly believe Nolwenn was fundamental to my labor being an empowering and joyful experience—rather than the out-of-control and terrifying birth stories we often hear about. I first connected with her toward the end of a smooth and easy pregnancy (my first), and from our very first discovery call, she provided a wealth of information, resources, and referrals. Her process for creating my birth plan was pivotal in helping me understand what I truly wanted from the experience, and she supported both my husband and me in preparing emotionally and physically for the delivery room. From day one, Nolwenn was on our team, and I had a united front between her, my husband, my baby, and me.

With Nolwenn and my husband providing support and encouragement throughout my labor, I stayed present and focused. I never even thought about asking for an epidural and, instead, was able to slowly and intentionally push my baby girl into the world—the best moment of my life. Nolwenn was by my side the entire time, coaching me, using counterpressure techniques to ease my contractions, and helping me keep my breathing low and controlled. During golden hour, she guided me in getting my baby to latch on both sides. I know that without Nolwenn, my labor could have taken a very different turn. Thanks to her, my experience wasn’t defined by pain, stress, or fear. Instead, I look back on my birth with joy and a deep sense of pride in my body’s strength and the teamwork between Nolwenn, my husband, my baby, and me.

Since birth, Nolwenn has continued to support us with daytime and nighttime doula services. Every time I see her, she offers new insights, advice, and perspectives that help me grow into the parent I want to be.
