We had the pleasure of working with Kerry during my first pregnancy. Her genuine kindness and gentle nature was evident from the start. Pair that with her wisdom and years of experience, and we easily felt safe in her presence. We appreciated her acknowledgement of not only my needs and concerns, but of my husband's as the baby's father. She treated us like family. We were fortunate enough to receive her guidance late in my pregnancy when our baby was still breech; Kerry understood my wishes to avoid a C-section and provided helpful suggestions and resources to try to help our baby turn naturally. She was supportive and reassuring when ultimately I elected an ECV procedure at week 38 (which was a success, hooray!). She took the time to listen to my wishes for labor and delivery, and asked thoughtful questions to assist us in crafting plans to cover multiple scenarios. Her knowledge of typical medical procedures and practices where we delivered was incredibly helpful. I can't say enough about how highly we valued her presence when she met us at the hospital after I went into labor. She took the time to set up the room with comforting things like candles and aromatherapy. She made sure all the resources (peanut ball, bath tub, birthing bar, etc.) were available to me and gently guided me on how and when they would be most advantageous. She worked as an amazing advocate with the nursing staff at the hospital to provide me with the most comfortable experience possible that matched my birth plan. When we were met with challenges after several hours of back labor and progress had slowed, she supported my husband and I by creating space for us to carefully consider and discuss options privately, and gave us her honest opinions when we asked for advice and guidance. When ultimately our daughter was born, Kerry took pictures and videos, which we will cherish forever. We are eternally grateful to Kerry, and can't imagine having gone through the experience without her!
