Amanda is a godsend! She is so knowledgeable and is very giving with her knowledge. In fact, after our introductory call with her, my husband said he learned more from her about babies than he had learned up to that point in his entire life. We only have continued to learn from her!
She told us early on that her goal was to help us do more than survive the postpartum phase, and I really do think she is the reason I have been able to enjoy this time. She arrives so prepared, has an entire arsenal of equipment to make sure our baby is set up to be healthy and happy, and even helped me pick between potential purchases while I was still pregnant. She adapted quickly and seamlessly to the intricacies of our household, is great with our dogs, and always is a joy to be around. She is also a great communicator. She keeps notes in our huckleberry app, communicates with me throughout the night when I wake up to pump, and texts me before she goes so we know the status of the million things she has done throughout the night to set us up for the next day. Then, when I wake up in the morning, I know immediately our baby laundry (and some of my nursing clothes) is washed and folded, next bottles are prepared, pump parts and night bottles are washed, leftover milk is stored or frozen, and baby is recently fed and changed.
I have felt so comforted knowing Amanda was taking care of our guy. We are sad that we can't keep her forever, but we know we will be better off after our time with her ends because we were able to learn so much while she was here!
