I felt heard and understood by Alice, comes only through wisdom & tons of experience. She created a space where my husband & I shared our fears and anxieties, and she helped us navigate them with grace during the prenatal sessions. Alice was amazing with comfort measures! She knew all the right positions and techniques to ease my pain and keep me comfortable during labor, she also came home & showed me how I can use my space to get through early labor. Alice was a fantastic advocate for us. She helped us understand our options and made sure our voice was heard. We felt empowered to make informed decisions, confident with our birth plan & also her presence shifted energies in the room during our labor. I trusted her so much that I declined a treatment that my doctor was recommending around delivery, that made a huge difference in my recovery, in that heated moment, she was the one person felt I could completely trust during my birth.
She was also my postpartum doula in the initial few weeks, I honestly believe having someone to listen & share thoughts about early motherhood makes all the difference & early days less chaotic. As a first time mom I didn't know what to expect & what I needed sometimes she knew what I needed, her emotional support was invaluable.
