Sarah helped my husband and I prior to, during and after the birth of our daughter. She spent time ensuring we were educated about the signs of labour, positioning during labour and informed choice (ie: pain management options, episiotomy, creation of a birth plan, etc). She helped us through active labour by encouraging and coaching me as well as assisting my husband to feel confident in his ability to help me. She ensured our health care team was aware of my birth plan and helped me achieve my goal of an unmedicated water birth. She continued to provide post partum information (breast feeding, new born sleeping) and support to us after the birth of our daughter, which was very valuable.
