I loved having Laura as my doula all through my pregnancy, during labor, and during those early post-partum days. She is such a wealth of knowledge from years of experience and is always learning more! It was great having someone I could run my many questions by who would problem solve with me to help achive my desired health and birth goals. My husband and I took her class when I was pregant with my first and we both felt the classes really helped us look forward to labor and apporach that day on the same page. With my first, I had not been planning on a home birth, yet that is what I got! I had been in contact with my midwife and Laura, but the end of my labor progressed very, very quickly. Laura was the one who noticed the signs over the phone and helped make the necessary phone calls to help get everyone where they needed to be. She was the first one to arrive minuets after baby was born with warm blankets and reassuacne everything was okay while we waited a few more minutes for the midwife. It wasn't the support I expected, but it was the support I needed! She even helped clean everything up so I didn't have to worry about anything! Her help remained invaluable over those early days of breastfeeding. My second is on the way and I already have Laura as my doula again.
