As first-time parents, Richard and I wanted to be as prepared as possible entering labor and delivery. None of my family members had worked with a doula before, and I wasn't sure if we needed one, but I couldn't be happier we ultimately decided to hire Lora. I had specific goals for my birth, which I wanted to be unmedicated in the hospital setting. I was doing physical and mental preparation throughout pregnancy to achieve this, but Lora's presence and expertise gave us so much additional peace of mind. Lora was always quick to respond to my questions and thoughts throughout our six months of working together and ultimately helped me acheive my goal of having an unmedicated birth! Additionally, Lora took some pictures and videos of our first moments with our son, and I couldn't be more grateful to have records of those treasured memories.
