I had met Kate & Mary a couple of times prior to delivering my son. Right away I knew we connected and I was so happy to have her support! She listened to my birth plan while asking the right questions to make sure we were on the same page for when the day would come that I would go into labor. I truly felt taken care of.
My labor was 36 hours long. Kate came in the middle of the night half way through and was the doula who would be there to get me across the finishline! I labored naturally & then opted for an epidural. Kate worked with me to make sure I was in different positions to move labor along for a vaginal delivery which was my ultimate goal. The end was intense and I could not have done it without Kate. She also helped my husband better support me. Kate kept me calm and was the voice of encouragement when I needed it. She also helped make everything seem normal and not to worry when nothing seemed normal. I am so grateful to her for this!
