There I was, screaming in the background, and Marlene stayed on the phone, guiding me through it all. "Calm down, Shakahna, breathe like this. Talk to me—sounds like contractions, girl, the baby’s coming." She kept me grounded, even when I was at my most frantic.
My soulmate, who was in total shock, was following her instructions, but it was Marlene's steady presence that truly kept me calm. She didn’t stop there, though. When I arrived at the hospital, she immediately spoke with the doctor, advocating for me and making sure everything was in order. Despite being across the world, she was there every step of the way, making sure my needs were met, and that I was taken care of.
When I called her again, crying because my nurse was mistreating me, Marlene took control, spoke to the doctor, and ensured I was treated with the kindness and respect I deserved. It felt like she was right there in the room with me, speaking up on my behalf. Marlene stayed by my side as my unwavering advocate.
I cannot thank Marlene enough. She is professional, loving, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her presence, support, and care made all the difference in the world, and I truly believe I owe her my life.
