My husband and I found Janelle just a couple weeks before our baby's due date, and we are so glad we did! Given that we were so close to my due date, we were a little concerned about not being able to find a good doula that would align with our views and advocate for our wishes for birth. Janelle was the perfect fit from the start! She was very accommodating and set up a prenatal appointment with us as soon as possible. During the appointment, she listened attentively to our vision for labor and provided us with a wealth of information. She was supportive by text and phone call in the weeks leading up to labor, which was beneficial as well. When it came time for delivery day, Janelle was there when we needed her. I liked the fact that she was open to being with us as much or as little as we felt we needed, especially during early labor. When labor ramped up for me, Janelle stayed calm and provided support continuously. We delivered at a hospital and I wanted to try to deliver unmedicated. Looking back, there is no way my husband and I could have done it without Janelle's support. I was able to deliver my baby without an epidural just as I had envisioned because of the tips, tricks and tools Janelle provided for us. Not only was she a huge asset for labor and delivery, but Janelle also has shared some great resources with us after our baby's birth. We have come into contact with some great doctors and lactation consultants because of Janelle. We highly recommend her services and would choose her for any future births over and over again!
