We were introduced to LeNay late in my first pregnancy and decided to work together. Due to agreed upon availability at the signing of contracts she was unable to be physically present for that birth but provided remote support via text through the whole 28 hours, which I whole heartedly believe helped to avoid a c-section.
When I became pregnant with our second child we knew that we wanted LeNay there! She was again a wealth of knowledge, support, and encouragement. She helped my husband and I feel more at ease with the whole birthing process, knowing we had someone to walk us through decisions, attend to small needs, and provide ways to support the physiological process. She helped us navigate a week of stop and start false labor and then a pretty quick true labor. I had not planned on an unmedicated birth but the timing required that and without her encouragement and support I’m not sure how I would have handled it. LeNay was the absolute best decision we made when it came to our birth experiences!
