We had an amazing experience with Carolyn as our doula. Having her there during the birth was instrumental in helping us both feel comfortable and informed. Because we didn't really have continuity with an OBGYN, we were able to find that continuity and comfort with District Doulas. In the hours through the induction before labor got really intense and Carolyn joined us, Carolyn was texting with us about what to do and what to expect and helping us make decisions even before she was in the room. Carolyn was then in the delivery room with us from about 7:30pm until our baby was born at 5:30am. She helped my wife move into different positions to get the baby well situated, and helped coach her the whole time. She was also just such a calming presence in the room and we really felt like we connected with her throughout the process. Hiring a doula was the best thing we did and we were so grateful to work with Carolyn!
