My labor was 40 hours and required both induction and forceps. When born, my baby needed help breathing and I couldn't see her immediately. In every moment of difficulty and fear, I turned to Tata. I. vividly remember telling Tata I would not have been able to give birth without her and still very much mean it. Tata stayed with my husband and I for multiple days, offering mental, emotional and physical support, in our home and at the hospital. She was my fearless advocate and unabashedly asked each doctor to provide us with private time to review options and decide on our best course of action. She held firm when I refused additional intervention. When my baby was born not breathing, in a room of 20+ healhcare professionals, she was the only one who looked to me and provided me with updates and reassurance. Tata was the most integral part of my birth experience and the health of my child - I love her dearly!
