Julia is professional in every aspect while clearly answering a higher calling as a birth worker. She recognizes the sacred nature of the work and brings a studied and dedicated mind, body and soul to it. She leads with joy and love, which is essential! We were so grateful for her support both at home and in the hospital and couldn’t imagine having gone through our long labor without her. Her support never wavered — physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Through pregnancy, labor, birth and in the weeks after, Julia went above and beyond. Tons of tried and true preparation and resources, sweet gifts, nourishing food, hand me downs— everything she brought to us was special and full of her loving energy. She worked well with our birth team, always communicated clearly and honestly, and was strong in supporting both me in labor and my husband in all roles as the birthing partner. We also appreciated that she set us up with a great alternate doula to make sure we were always covered no matter what and handled all of the logistics. She forms real relationships, she is a wealth of experience and knowledge and is everything a doula should be, in my opinion. Julia is definitely doing what she’s meant to be doing and every baby that she helps bring into the world is blessed!! our toddler and dog loved her too:)
