We had the absolute BEST experience with Elan as my birth and post partum doula. She truly made all the difference. She gave me the confidence I needed, as I experienced an unmedicated birth for the first time. I don't think I could have done it without her! Even my husband agreed, that having Elan as our doula, was a vital factor in making our birth and labor experience positive, and smooth sailing. She was kind and considerate, and went above and beyond to help meet my needs during labor. She respected my birth plan, and was very informative whenever I had questions. You can tell that she has years of experience, and is very knowledgeable in her work. She was great at offering different positions throughout labor, and suggested different forms of water therapy when she could tell it was what I needed. She worked amazing alongside my midwife, in the hospital.
Elan knew how to talk me through my intense contractions, help me keep a positive mindset, and keep control. She applied counter pressure on my hips for the majority of my labor, which helped me soo much. She also kindly instructed my husband on how to best support me. Elan even helped me with my breastfeeding needs after baby came, and rubbed my feet with oils after delivery. When I was too exhausted and tired, and literally didn't have the energy to hold my baby after he was delivered, she held him to my chest for me and helped him nurse. She also worked great with my mom and sister-in-law being in the hospital room too. Everyone had all-great things to say about her as my doula! She was everything I needed, and more. I hope to have her as my doula with my future babies as well!! I would highly recommend her to anyone!
