Brandon and I had the pleasure of having Katharine as the doula for the birth of our daughter and we couldn't recommend her services more! She came highly recommended by a friend and I can understand why. She's extremely knowledge and effusive about her work. She describes herself as someone who loves learning and it shows. She gives evidence based suggestions and is familiar with the latest research. She's a great mix of empathetic enough to guide you through an incredibly emotionally journey and grounded / assertive enough to be an advocate for you when needed and to help you find strength to keep pushing through the process (literally and figuratively!!). I wanted to try to deliver without medical intervention, but didn't honestly think that I would be able to. I know for sure that I wouldn't have been able to do it if my husband and I were on our own. Katharine coached us through changing positions and working through the contractions. She was an absolutely vital part of our birth story and I'm so grateful for her support.
