Tori was amazing to work with. We hired them as a doula about a month prior to giving birth. We only wish we had found Tori sooner! Their pre-birth visits put as at ease, despite having a high-risk pregnancy and upcoming labor. Even knowing we were scheduled for a planned induction due to health concerns, Tori walked us through all options pre-birth. We didn't realize how valuable it would be to think about our desires. Tori helped us set aside what we knew was happening (the induction) and focus on what we really wanted out of the birth experience.
We went in for our induction on 12/23 and Tori was right there to get us settled. They offered to stay with us throughout the entire process, or return when active labor began. We opted to have Tori come back the next day, but they continually checked in on us throughout the induction which was very helpful. When Tori returned, they did an excellent job of helping with breathing, positioning, and offering support to us throughout the process.
Following delivery, Tori continued to check on us and brought over a (delicious!) home cooked meal. Having this support after delivery was really meaningful to us, especially as we don't have close family in town. Thank you Tori, and Whole Body Birth for wonderful support services! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for doula support.
